Artist Cafe Fukuoka(ACF)

Furniture

Zaiya Preservation Furniture

Zaiya Hozen is an initiative by the Kyushu University Museum’s Kyushu University Historical Furniture Conservation and Regeneration Project, proposing new ways of engaging with and preserving historical objects. At Artist Cafe Fukuoka, we are honored to borrow and use valuable pieces of furniture, including prewar wooden bookshelves, desks, folding screens, and mid-century modern design chairs. By combining these historically significant, solid wooden furnishings with contemporary interiors, we have been able to create a space unlike any before. We hope this place will become a meaningful site for creativity and new forms of expression.
